Beginner Yoga: Downward Facing Dog: Adho Mukha Svanasana
This beginner yoga class will teach you how to do downward facing dog. It is a yoga class for complete beginners. I will offer lots of modifications and explain the benefits of the pose. I offer easy to follow, step by step, slow instructions. You can practice this yoga class if you are completely new to yoga, if you are inflexible and if you have no balance. his is real yoga for real people, yoga that you can do, so that you can move better, feel better and connect with your true nature.
This yoga class is a beginners yoga class on how to do downward facing dog. We will take the pose apart piece by piece and prepare your feet, ankles, legs, hands and wrists. I will offer you modifications against the wall and eliminating different parts of your body from your wrists, to the full demands this pose can put on your hamstrings. If you have ever struggled with downward facing dog, this yoga class is for you.
Props Needed: Yoga Mat and Yoga Strap
Yoga Postures/Asanas: savasana (corpse pose), wrist stretches, supta pandangusthasana (reclined hand to toe pose), Cat Pose (marjaryasana), Puppy (Anahatasana), Eagle’s Arms (Garudasana), Cow’s Face Arms (Gomukasana), Adho Mukha Svanasana, Downward Facing Dog and variations, Balasana (Child’s pose), savasana
